reversals!. We can usually teach kids to not reverse numbers in

Grasp
Class
FUN
class with games, snacks and art! Students are taught how to
hold a pencil correctly, then play games and do art to work on the new
grasp pattern. At the end of the first class, they begin an art
project which they color using watercolor map pencils during the
second class. This class is for students who just need
instruction and practice to develop the fine motor skills and
manipulative skills to color, draw and write.

Multi-Sensory Keyboarding Class
Milti-sensory keyboarding class using fun, creative techniques to
learn keyboarding and fluency. The students will practice keyboarding
skills in our motor gym. This class intrgrates on-keyboard practice
through a typing manual, with creative, multi-sensory off-keyboard
activities.

lined paper, although the emphasis of this class is correct letter
formation and grasp development through fun, exploratory multi-sensory

This
class uses the First Strokes skills to generalize handwriting to more
advance skills using creative curriculum. Students begin to
write sentences using “invented spelling”, put spaces between
words, and generalize writing to a more automatic level. Also works on
capital letter formation.

Sensory-Motor
Print Class
Re-teaches print formation with the First Stroke concepts and letter
groups, using cool, multi-sensory strategies. Both standard
print or “snail tails” style handwriting are taught. This
class is for students who have learned print, but have difficulty with
sequencing letters, writing within handwriting spaces, or with letter
formation. Zany writing topics for writing generalization activities
each session!

Cursive I Class
Beginning
or remedial cursive class using simple, easy to remember formation
strategies for lower case letters. Class works on visual memory and
increasing speed of writing while maintaining legibility. Cool,
zany writing topics to generalize cursive into functional handwriting
skills. Beginning students or students who struggle often need to
additionally take the Cursive II class

Cursive II Class
(Sensory-motor
cursive class is a pre-requisite) Multi-sensory learning of upper case
letters. Students work towards increasing their speed of
handwriting to a functional speed without decreasing legibility.
Generalization to writing with good bridging, spacing between letters
and words through the COOLEST zany writing topics like guts putty!
Students practice writing on notebook paper using consistent, more
adult-sized letter formation.
